OC Membership
OC Membership
1992 and was formally constituted as a
nonprofit organization in 1998. As a
nonprofit, educational organization our
purpose is to enhance knowledge of and
promote interest in the beetles of Ohio.Â
The Ohio Coleopterists gather monthly to escape the winter doldrums by exchanging information, specimens, and fellowship. Our meetings are open to all, and students enrolled in insect systematics courses can find them especially useful.
We enjoy regular field trips to the far-flung reaches of Ohio, from the Lake Erie Islands and the beech-maple forests of the northeast corner to the bluegrass region east of Cincinnati or the biologically-rich Hocking Hills, adding knowledge of Ohio beetle distribution.
We encourage anyone interested in joining the OC to access the membership application link on this page.
